LRT1 operator announces special train sched for Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve

Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC), the private operator of Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT1), on Friday announced the implementation of special shortened operating hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve in observance of the upcoming holidays.

In an advisory, the LRT-1 operator said that on December 24 (Christmas Eve), the last train service at Baclaran Station will leave at 8 p.m. while the last train from the recently reopened Roosevelt Station will leave at 8:15 p.m.

Meanwhile, on December 31, 2022, the LRMC said the last train services from Baclaran Station will be at 7 p.m. and from Roosevelt Station at 7:15 p.m.

The first trip on the said dates will still leave both ends of the train line at 4:30 a.m., the company said.

The LRT-1 operator said it will continue to serve passengers on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022; Rizal Day, December 30, 2022; and New Year’s Day, January 1, 2023.
