Class cancellations for Wednesday, August 24, 2022

Classes for Wednesday, August 24, 2022, have been canceled in all levels in public schools in Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Zambales, and Bataan due to the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Florita.

Government office work for Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in the above mentioned areas had also been canceled.

The following cities have also cancelled classes in private schools for Wednesday, August 24, 2022:

• Baguio: Preschool to elementary
• Caloocan: all levels
• Malolos, Bulacan: all levels
• Mandaluyong: all levels
• Manila: all levels
• Marikina: all levels
• Pasig: all levels
• Pateros: all levels
• Quezon City: all levels
• Valenzuela: all levels

August 24, 2022 school classes were also canceled in the following localities:

• Batangas - kindergarten to senior high school (public and private)
• Cagayan - all levels (public and private)
• Dagupan City - all levels (public and private) and government offices
• Ilocos Sur - all levels (public and private) and government offices
• La Union – all levels (public and private) and government offices
• Nueva Ecija - all levels (public and private)
• Tuguegarao City - all levels (public and private) and government offices

Meanwhile, below are the private schools that also announced the cancellation of their classes for Wednesday, August 24:

• Letran Bataan: all levels, both synchronous and asynchronous, and office operations
• Letran Manila: all levels, both synchronous and asynchronous, and work operations are suspended
