#ALDUBMostAwaitedDate gets 12.1 million tweets

Eat Bulaga's Kalyeserye broke records again as #ALDUBMostAwaitedDate was tweeted more than 12 million times in just 24 hours.

 

Based on a Twitter account ALDUB STATISTICS https://twitter.com/ineffable888?lang=en, put up to track tweets for AlDub hashtags, the #ALDUBMostAwaitedDate was tweeted 12,125,300 as of 12 a.m. Sunday.

 

A radio dzBB report, meanwhile, said that the hashtag breached the 12 million mark as early as 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

 

The count started at 12 a.m. Saturday with 500,000 tweets.

 

According to a graph posted by the group, the tweets for the hashtag peaked at 3 p.m. with nearly 2 million tweets in an hour.

The hashtag broke an earlier record of 6 million for #ALDUBTheAbduction before 3 p.m.

 

The total number of tweets was 2 million higher than the 10 million target of the AlDub nation for #ALDUBMostAwaitedDate.

 

The hashtag was for the first date of kalyeserye love team, Alden Richards and Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza on Saturday.

 

The date, however, was cut short after Yaya Dub abruptly left to give Lola Nidora her medicine.

 

The episode ended with a crashing sound of a car, raising fears that Yaya Dub met an accident. —ALG, GMA News
