Asia's Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose shares her pre-concert rituals

Asia's Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose's performances has always been flawless, her divine voice is music to everyone's ear, but just like any other superstar she has her own rituals before a big show.

At the Vivo V9 Mall Tour, Kapuso singer-actor Julie Anne shared her pre-concert rituals with GMA News Online.

Julie Anne revealed the first three things she does before a concert, "I drink a lot of water, I drink tea, I vocalize a lot,"

When her performances require a lot of dancing and moving, she said she takes time to warm up.

"I warm up kapag may dances ako, kapag nag-pe-perform ako, concerts ganon. As much as I can, I sleep a lot, take a rest tapos wala naman, just discipline yourself. "

But the most important thing she never misses to do right before a concert is to "Always pray na bigyan ka ng guidance ni Lord sa performance mo. That's what I do all the time, that's my one routines whenever I perform."

Dream performances

Julie Anne may already have met success in both her acting and music career but there are still dream performances and roles she wishes to have.

After performing with Asia's Song Bird Regine Velasquez, Julie said there are two more music legends in the Philippines she'd want to have a performance with.

"I'd like to perform with Ms. Lea Salonga and Mr. Gary Valeciano," Julie Anne said before quipping "and hopefully Beyonce, just kidding," 

Meanwhile, for her dream role, Julie Anne said she'd want to go bolder and unconventional with an action role.

"I dream of having an action role, I'm not sure yet with who, but it would be nice to do action because parang bihira yung babae na gumagawa ng action roles, ng mga stunts, so I think it would be nice," Julie Anne said.

Julie is the cover girl of Cosmo Philippines' May issue, incidentally, the magazine's last print edition. She headlines "My Guitar Princess", premiering on May 7. — LA, GMA News
