Mikael Daez and Megan Young have long been open about their relationship. They regularly post photos of themselces on social media, but strangely, the two manage to remain relatively low-key about the whole affair.
In an interview with GMA News Online on Wednesday, Mikael said that they don't feel the need to blast their happiness across social media.
"Our thinking kasi is it doesn't matter what other people think, as long as the two people who are part of the relationship are happy," he said.
"So Megan and I are super happy. We don't exactly need to blast it out in Instagram to show that we're happy. It just so happens that we're like that," he added.
Now that social media is deeply ingrained in Filipino culture, it's inevitably wormed its way into people's lives and relationships.
But Mikael reminded that people shouldn't be pressured to make picture-perfect posts to prove that they are happy in their relationship.
"'Wag sila ma-pressure na ipakita nilang happy sila. The most important thing is between you and the person you love, you guys are good. If that's OK, then everything else will just fall in place," he said. — LA, GMA News
