Ruru Madrid's younger sister Rere had a taste of the showbiz world when she joined the latest season of Starstruck.

Having been part of the industry for the past six years, the Kapuso actor had some essential advice for her.

"When she joined Starstruck, sinabi ko sa kanya na, 'Sa Starstruck, of course, competition 'yan, so marami kang makakalaban —  pero it's better to compete with yourself kaysa sa ibang tao so that, everyday, nag-i-improve ka, so that, everyday, may napapakita kang bago sa mga tao'," Ruru told reporters at a contract signing on Friday .

There is another important thing he wanted his little sister to know before she embarks on her own journey, and that was to learn how to get along with anyone.

"I think the number one here sa industriyang 'to is pakikisama," Ruru said.

"As long as marunong kang makisama sa kahit na sino, talagang magla-last ka dito sa industry."

Rere Madrid remained a strong contender on Starstruck 7 until she was eliminated in July.

She and her kuya seem very close, as Ruru had been a very supportive Kuya throughout Starstruck her journey.
