For the first time since news broke that he and Sarah Geronimo got married, Matteo Guidicelli acknowledged and confirmed the fact, plus a few more things.

Yes, they are married. No, he didn’t “punch” anyone. They had to keep their wedding intimate because of private matters.

And soon after, Sarah and Matteo’s showbiz colleagues and friends flocked to the comments section to say congrats.

Pauleen Luna wrote “congratulations neighbor!” while Drew Arellano said he was “very very happy” for them. “Time to start a family!” he added, which netizens seem to agree with. Drew’s comment now has 174 likes.

Meanwhile, Kris Aquino echoed Matteo’s hopeful message and wrote “with God’s Grace and Love.”

Anne Curtis, Lucky Manzano, Liz Uy also gave their congratulatory messages.

On Friday, news broke that Matteo “punched” Sarah’s bodyguard for allegedly leaking details of their wedding to Mommy Divine, Sarah’s mom.

Later on, PEP.ph confirmed that yes, Sarah and Matteo did get married on Thursday, February 20, at Ministry of Crab in Shangri-La at the Fort.

In his Wednesday post, Matteo ended his note sounding hopeful. " In time, with God's grace and love, everything will heal and fall into place," he wrote.
