Bogart the Explorer takes to skateboarding as he recovers from surfing accident

Bogart the Explorer is back on the board after his debilitating accident a few months ago — although a skateboard instead of a surfboard, this time.

The vlogger, whose real name is Marco Ho, shared how his recovery is going in an Instagram post.

"As it's only been 3 months since the accident, I still can't walk properly so mobility is a bit of a problem for me. But the wide open roads of the province coupled with my trusty electric skateboard means I can go anywhere with ease," he said.

TGIF♥? As it's only been 3 months since the accident, I still can't walk properly so mobility is a bit of a problem for me. But the wide open roads of the province coupled with my trusty electric skateboard means I can go anywhere with ease. The carving motions flex and twist my leg muscles and joints which makes for great stretching therapy while the cool, fresh air and calm surroundings is therapeutic for the soul. Plus it's great re-training for when I get back on that surfboard! Oh yes. I'm going to surf again. I'm not going to quit. Not even a near fatal experience is gonna stop me from going back surfing. You know what they say, what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger.???? #ProbinsyaSk8trBoi #ExwayProRiot #ExwayX1 #Esk8PH #electricskateboardPH #WearYourMask #tgif

He said the motions required to navigate with the skateboard is "great stretching therapy" while the "cool, fresh air and calm surroundings is therapeutic for the soul."

Ho also considers it as training for when he gets to surf again.

"Oh yes. I'm going to surf again. I'm not going to quit. Not even a near fatal experience is gonna stop me from going back surfing. You know what they say, what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger," he said.

In March, Ho got into a surfing freak accident that left him with a severe cut on his right leg.

He "lost a ton of blood and meat," and required multiple operations of reconstructive surgery, skin grafting, blood transfusions, and physical therapy just to be able to walk again.
