Willie Revillame tells viewers wanting to go out: 'Magpasensya muna tayo, walang magagawa'

As restrictions ease while Metro Manila shifts to general community quarantine, Willie Revillame has a reminder for the public.

In an online episode of "Wowowin," the television host discouraged his viewers who might be tempted to hang out at the mall.

"Sa lahat ng mga nasa inyong tahanan, sarado ang malls. Ang pu-pwede lang po take-out. Kung pupunta kayo sa malls, walang wifi. Mainit ang aircon. Anong gagawin niyo ho doon? Sa bahay na lang kayo, mag-order na lang kayo sa Shopee," he said.

He tells his fans to be careful and to think things through.

In order to tackle this problem, cooperation and patience would be needed, he added.

"Ang ibig ko sabihin ay mag-ingat. Mahirap po kasi ang problemang to eh. Magugutom, magkakasakit. So dapat aayusin talaga to," he said.

"Tulog-tulong, makinig na muna ho tayo. At magpasensya na muna tayo, walang magagawa. Hindi lang ang Pilipinas ang nag-su-suffer ngayon. Buong mundo. Mas mahirap 'yung...nag-gegera pa, nag-aaway-away pa. Dito, 'yun lang, makikinig lang tayo," he added.

As the country continues to battle coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), Metro Manila and several other regions were eased to general community quarantine starting June 1.

The Cordillera Administrative Region, Regions I (except Pangasinan), IV-B, V, VI, VIII, IX (except Zamboanga City), X, XI (except Davao City) and XII, CARAGA, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao will be under modified GCQ from June 1 to 15.

As of Wednesday, the Philippines has reported 19,748 COVID-19 cases. 4,153 have recovered, while the death toll is at 974.
