Heart Evangelista launches project to equip students with tools for education amid pandemic

Heart Evangelista will be officially launching a new project called the "Big Heart PH" this coming July.

According to the Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations, the project aims to help equip students with tools for education as most schools adapt to the new normal with online learning.

Posting a photo with one of the paintings she sold on Instagram, Heart said she "hopes to raise funds to do something that my heart was calling me to."

"This pandemic has affected so many people in all walks of life and some of those most affected are the students," she said.

Heart knew most students would need access to their own tablet and internet to continue their education amid the pandemic.

"This project of mine started when people were messaging me on Twitter asking for assistance. I knew then in my heart that I had to do something. Something bigger."

Although she said it won't be able to help everyone she knows it will "change the lives of those we are able to. #BigHeartPH @phbigheart."

Aside from her other relief efforts amid the pandemic, Heart earlier gave away tablets to students who don't have one to use for online schooling. —Jannielyn Bigtas/MGP, GMA News
