Donita Nose tests positive for COVID-19

Donita Nose has revealed that she had tested positive for the coronavirus disease.

In Nelson Canlas’ “24 Oras” report Monday, the comedian confirmed that her swab test turned in a positive result this morning.

As of writing, Donita Nose is still confined at the hospital emergency room due to shortage of rooms for COVID-19 patients.

“Mag-isa akong lumalaban dito ngayon, as in wala akong kasama, magsi-CR ako, ako lang,” she said.

The “Wowowin” cohost admitted having difficulty in breathing even if she’s just urinating.

“Ganoon siya kalala,” she said.

Last Friday, Donita went on Facebook Live to share that she was already admitted to the hospital as advised by her doctor.

She described to Nelson her situation at the ER, saying each patient were separated from each other by a sheet of plastic, in place of curtains, that hung from the ceiling down to the floor.

“As in talagang sealed siya,” she said. “Walang makakalabas na hangin.”

Donita wasn’t surprised when she learned about her condition, saying she had fever for one week and diarrhea for a few days.

She also said that while nursing a fever, she also had a slight headache and cough.

“Parang nakita ko lahat ’yung mga symptoms ng COVID is parang nandoon siya,” she said.

On the 8th day, when she woke up in the morning, she said she experienced shortness of breath.

According to the “24 Oras” report, Donita has not been present in “Wowowin” tapings for several weeks before she felt symptoms.

The comedian also agreed to be interviewed to inform those she had been in contact with in case they had not been notified yet.

Donita said her cohost Willie Revillame was one of the first persons who offered to help her.

“Sabi ko nga kahit mag-isa lang ako dito, I know hindi ako nag-iisa, sa mga dasal, sa lahat. Kasi alam kong maraming nagmamahal sa akin,” she said.

As the comedian stayed optimistic that she would recover soon, she also advised the public not to be complacent and exercise extra caution so as not to contract the disease. – RC, GMA News
