Here are 5 valuable lessons Kyline Alcantara keeps at heart as she turns 18

Kyline Alcantara is officially an adult now!

Just this Thursday, the actress marked her 18th birthday

Celebrating an unforgettable milestone, Kyline has shared some of the lessons she learned and kept at heart as she steps into adulthood.

1. Be responsible.

In a media conference on Friday, Kyline said she wanted to be more responsible in many aspects of her life, including finance.

Although she started working at an early age and learned how to be independent, the actress said her parents managed her money.

“Dapat mas malaman paano mag-manage ng money,” she said. “Priority ko ngayon paano mag-handle at mag-manage ng money.”

2. Learn to live in the moment.

Kyline revealed that she liked planning things and that sometimes made her extremely stressed.

This time, she said, she wanted to try living in the moment.

“Mas masarap sa pakiramdam na ganoong mindset for me, ’yung geniune na happiness nararamdaman ko. Spontaneous pero planned,” she said.

3. Be humble.

Kyline said it’s important for her to remain humble, something her parents always helped her out with.

“Kinakausap ko sarili ko sa mirror,” Kyline shared. “Pinapa-alala ko saan ako nagsimula, kung bakit ko ginagawa ’to,” she said.

“’Yung most nagpapa-alaala sakin, nagpapa-humble sakin ay ang aking magulang.”

4. Always be aware.

Kyline said it’s mostly her father who gave her deep advice. One of the things he would tell her was to always have her eyes wide open and be aware of everything.

“Laging dapat open ’yung eyes mo sa maraming bagay,” she said.

“Dapat aware ako sa lahat, sa bawat galaw ko,”

5. Have faith and patience.

Out of all the lessons she kept at heart, Kyline said having patience and faith was among the most important.

“Dapat napakahaba ng pasensya mo sa lahat ng bagay, with your career, with your challenges na binibigay ni God,” she said. “Dapat mahaba ang pasensya mo. Have faith in Him.”

The actress said she would always just remind herself that God is the beginning and the end and that would help her stay calm. – RC, GMA News
