Kyline Alcantara pursues degree in tourism to help promote the Philippines

Kyline Alcantara is excited to be a kolehiya despite the new normal in education amid the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," the Kapuso breakout star is pursuing a degree in tourism.

She said she is planning to combine what she will learn from her studies together with her acting background for a higher purpose: to show the world the best that the country has to offer.

"I want to have enough knowledge about the Philippines so pagdating sa ibang bansa kayang-kaya kong ipagmalaki kung gaano kaganda 'yung Pilipinas," she said.

Kyline, who recently turned 18, also admitted that she is feeling some jitters as a freshman in college.

"Nakakatakot po siya sa akin kasi bagong school po e, so lahat ng nandun sa school ko na 'yun parang kilala na nila 'yung isa't isa," she said.

The online classes will also take some getting used to, but Kyline is looking forward  to starting her college life.

"I'm excited for the challenge na kung paano ko ima-manage 'yung time ko," she said. —MGP, GMA News
