Derek Ramsay admits changing 'a lot' of things in his new house for Andrea Torres

Although they aren't living together yet, Derek Ramsay has made room for his girlfriend Andrea Torres in the house he had constructed.

Rumors stared flying when the couple did a tour of Derek's new house and he showed the viewers how he'd opened his doors to Andrea's presence.

And while he has since denied the rumors of them living together, Derek admitted that a lot of his original plans for the house changed when he got together with Andrea.

"I was building this house for the next chapter of my life. Hindi ko pa alam na Andrea was going to come into my life. I'm very lucky that she did, and it was in the middle of the whole process na ginagawa ko itong bahay na to," Derek said in an interview with GMA News' Aubrey Carampel on "24 Oras."

"There were a lot of things that were changed because she was in my life now. So I was like, okay, this is for my future, this is for our future, todo na natin to," he added.

Andrea shared that Derek would take her furniture shopping and when she didn't like an item or when she wanted something, Derek would accommodate her.

She also said that she did visit the house often, especially when there were family get-togethers.

Personally, however, Andrea said she first wanted God's blessing before she took that step in their relationship.

"Of course I respect 'yung mga nag-li-live in. Pero sa sarili ko lang na paniniwala, gusto ko lang may basbas ng Diyos bago kami magsama talaga sa isang bahay," she said.

Derek meanwhile said he already considers the house as their house -- not just his and Andrea's but their families', too.

"I opened up my doors to them, they're now part of my family, so that's why I say it's our house," he said. —JCB, GMA News
