Sam Smith hopes to duet with viral blind singer who covered his song

If given the chance, Sam Smith hopes to do a duet with Carl Montecido, the blind singer who went viral for covering the English pop star’s hit “Too Good at Goodbyes” at a mall videoke in February.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas on “24 Oras” Thursday, Sam said he’s a “hundred million percent” willing to do a duet with Carl if there would be an opportunity.

“Yes, yes, yes. It will be an absolute honor to sing with him,” said the English singer, whose hits include “How Do You Sleep,” “Latch” and “Stay With Me.”

“He is incredible. He is a better singer than I am,” Sam described Carl. “I’ll be so scared singing with him. He’s unbelievable,” he added.

Sam Smith released in September his latest single “Diamonds” off the new album “Love Goes,” which will be out Oct. 30. – RC, GMA News
