Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin were all smiles as they shot their first and latest ad together for Filipinos.

On Monday, Smart Communications released the behind the scenes of their 5G commercial featuring everyone’s favorite real and reel South Korean couple from “Crash Landing on You.”

The video, with Ben&Ben's "Inevitable" playing as though a music video, showed the process of how the commercial came to be. Of course, it also showed snippets of Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin’s photoshoots together.

“I remember it snowed a lot on the day of the shoot. Thanks to that, the shooting was fun despite the cold weather,” Hyun Bin shared in a recorded video.

“I am so happy to be with Smart for the second time. It’s a lot easier because we worked with the same team - the same people who made the first episode. I am excited to see more wonderful advertisements,” Ye-Jin added.

According to Smart, it wasn’t planned to have both of them in one commercial together, but they strived to make it happen for their customers.

“As soon as we had Hyun Bin in, everybody clamored to have Son Ye-Jin in so we had no choice. We had to give the customers what they wanted,” said Jane Basas, SVP and Head of Consumer Wireless Business, in an online interview.

“As soon as we had Son Ye-Jin, there was again a clamor to have the two of them together so it’s really us answering the requests of our clients,” she added.

While shooting the commercial, Jane revealed that most of them felt “kilig” but tried their best to keep themselves professional.

“I was just squealing the whole time kasi nakakakilig talaga sobra,” she said.

She added that the team had to go through long lengths to bring in global superstars for the Philippine market.

“It was not easy bringing Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin in two separate campaigns and imagine the kind of hard work that we needed to do to bring both of them together,” she said.

“We knew that we had to make it happen and it we’re just really lucky that both loved the first two campaigns and that they trusted us enough to make this happen because they’ve never said yes to anybody,” she added.

According to Jane, the stars signed with them just before they came out as a couple in January so they consider it “meant to be.”

“We shot [the commercial] after they actually went out in public to confirm that they had something together so we were just really lucky. It was perfect timing,” she said.

More of Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin will be shown in the commercial’s sequel set to premiere “very soon," with the Smart exec saying, “there will be a part two where they will be together end to end so even more kilig than TVC one.”

Garnering lots of love and support from their fans, Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin wish to see them in person soon.

“I have been given another chance to meet you all through Smart’s new campaign video. I hope you’ll continue to support Smart and me. Please keep yourselves healthy and warm this year,” Hyun Bin said.

“I may not be able to meet you all in person but I’m very happy that I can greet you through this. Last year was difficult for everyone. I sincerely hope that you become happier this year. I hope to see you soon. Stay healthy until then,” Ye-Jin added.

The first commercial, which is the couple's first project together since the smash hit CLOY, was released on Valentine’s Day. It featured Ben&Ben’s single “Inevitable.”
