Why Thia Thomalla, PSG Val of ‘First Yaya,’ was unable to join Miss World Philippines this year

Thia Thomalla, who played PSG Val on “First Yaya,” shared why she was unable to join Miss World Philippines this year.

In Cata Tibayan’s “24 Oras” report, Thursday, the Miss Eco International 2018 titleholder said she planned to join the pageant but her schedule didn’t allow her to do so.

“I’ve been planning to join Miss World Philippines again this year for the Miss World crown but I didn’t continue with it,” she said in a mix of English and Filipino.

“I was already in lock-in taping during the first screening,” she added. “I trust in the Lord for His plans for me.”

On playing PSG Val, Thia said she had a hard time because the role required her to look tough and be one of the boys.

“In real life, I’m super girly and during our first lock-in taping, my back hurt because I was required to keep a straight body,” she said.

Although she was not able to join Miss World Philippines, she recently wowed everyone when she went back to her beauty queen roots with her bikini photos.
