Jaclyn Jose complimented the chemistry between Alden Richards and Jasmine-Curtis-Smith on their upcoming romantic drama series “The World Between Us.”

The veteran actress who was part of the stellar cast pointed out how much she saw the good chemistry between the two Kapuso actors.

“If I may say something, ang lakas ng chemistry ng dalawa. Kung wala siguro silang kanya-kanyang karelasyon, magiging sila,” Jaclyn told GMA Entertainment press during the media conference for “The World Between Us” on Wednesday.

When asked about their chemistry, Alden said he thought their pairing worked because the audience had evolved.

“That’s what I can see and slowly we are breaking away from the stigma,” he told GMA Entertainment press in English and Tagalog.

“You don’t have to be romantically together off cam to be effective as actors. I guess that’s Jas’ and [my] conscious effort as actors, to [be like] our characters, and (for) our characters to be in love with each other,” he said.

Alden said he had been very comfortable with Jasmine even if they had not yet worked on many projects.

Jasmine said what Jaclyn told them was a “compliment.”

“Agree naman ako kay Alden, I think yung pareho naming perspective na pareho kaming in love sa characters namin and sa story nilang dalawa which makes the chemistry easier,” Jasmine said.

Jasmine said their past projects together were “enough to build a good foundation” so they could give “more” to the project and develop their chemistry further.

She was also “grateful because it’s been so fun and it’s easy to work with Alden and to have and share that chemistry with him.”

Alden will play Louie while Jasmine will portray Li Libradilla on “The World Between Us.” It will be their second teamup after their successful series “I Can See You: Love on The Balcony” last year.

Other cast members include Tom Rodriguez, Dina Bonnevie, Sid Lucero, Alyanna Asistio, and beauty queen Kelley Day.

According to director Dominic Zapata, the drama is based on the 1847 Emily Brontë novel “Wuthering Heights.”

The show is set to premiere on GMA Telebabad on July 5. – RC, GMA News
