Epy Quizon almost shaved off his eyebrows for role as Zuhl in 'Voltes V: Legacy'

Epy Quizon is having so much fun playing the role of Zuhl in "Voltes V: Legacy."

In Lhar Santiago's report for "24 Oras," the veteran actor revealed that he was actually mulling over changing his physical appearance for the role.

"Alam mo muntikan akong magpaahit ng kilay Kuya Lhar, sa sobrang into the character ako, tuwang-tuwa ako sa pagganap ng character," Epy said.

["I almost shaved my eyebrows because I was so into the character, I was so happy playing the character."]

"Kaso nakunan na kasi ako ng may kilay. Pero sabi ko parang mas bagay yata na walang kilay ito si Zuhl," he added.

["However, they've already shot me with eyebrows. But I said it seems like Zuhl would be better without eyebrows."]

Zuhl is the scientist who invented the Anti-Super Electromagnetic Device which nearly destroyed Voltes V. He is among the villains of the series, along with Draco (Carlo Gonzalez), Prince Zardoz (Martin del Rosario), and Zandra (Liezel Lopez).

Like the other cast members, Epy was amazed by the sets for "Voltes V: Legacy."

"Nakakagulat 'yung laki nung production ng Voltes V. Isa talagang serye na kaabang-abang," he said.

["The immense size of the production is a surprise. It's a series that is really worth looking forward to."]
