Bea Alonzo: 'You can't fake chemistry, you can create it'

Everybody knows Bea Alonzo is a pro when it comes to "falling in love" on screen.

Apart from establishing herself as an award-winning actress, she has also become an icon of her generation after telling so many stories about love and relationships as fans continuously draw inspiration and hugot lines from her work on film and television.

In a special interview with GMA-7's "Unang Hirit, the new Kapuso shared a secret about how she's successfully managed to "develop" chemistry with her on-screen partners over the years.

"Ako, nanininwala ako sa sinasabi nilang 'You cannot fake chemistry. You can create it'," she said.

"Kahit sinong i-partner sayo, falling in love is an emotion. And, if you are a good actress, may chemistry kayo because people will see it through your eyes that you are in love," she added.

[It's true what they say: You cannot fake chemistry. You create it. Because whoever your partner is — falling in love is an emotion. And if you're a good actress, you can create that chemistry. People will see it through your eyes that you are in love.]

According to Bea, "You really have to fall in love with your partner, kahit na 'yung maliit lang."

[You really have to fall in love with your partner, even just a sliver of that emotion.]

Bea Alonzo officially became a Kapuso after signing with GMA Network in July.

On Monday, she said it still felt "surreal" to be a part of the GMA family and that she's really looking forward to working with her fellow Kapuso stars.

"I'm open to different possibilities now," Bea said.

"I don't want to put myself in a box, so I want to do different things as much as I can and,  I'm also looking forward to working with Kapuso stars that I've never worked with before and even the younger ones like sina Ruru [Madrid] sina Derrick [Monasterio]," she added.

Of course, Bea is also excited for her new movie with Asia's Mutimedia Star Alden Richards.

She also dreams of working with Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera one day!

"I actually have a concept in mind [for me and for Marian], ku-kwento ko na lang sa mga bosses...  Sana!" Bea said. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
