Jake Cuenca visits delivery rider accidentally shot by police in car chase: 'Nandito lang ako para sa’yo Ely'

Jake Cuenca paid a visit to the delivery rider who got caught in the middle of a car chase he was recently involved in and was accidentally shot.

On Instagram Sunday, the actor shared a photo with the delivery rider named Eleazar Martinito, who was seen still on bed shaking hands with Jake.

Jake said he is thankful that Martinito is in a good condition with his family, and wished him well in his job.

after his SUV allegedly hit a police vehicle in Mandaluyong City at around 9 pm on a Saturday.

According to the police, the SUV did not stop and so they chased it until they reached an area near Shaw Boulevard in Pasig, where they fired at the car's tires to force it to stop.

Five police officers involved in the car chase were relieved from their posts, as EPD director Police Brigadier General Matthew Bacay pointed out that firing shots is not part of the standard operating procedure.

Cuenca is facing complaints of disobedience and reckless imprudence over the incident.

Philippine National Police chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar also apologized to the delivery rider accidentally shot by the police as they chased Jake. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
