Herbert Bautista to ex from Tarlac: My love as friend will remain

TARLAC CITY—In a message to an apparent ex from Tarlac, senatorial candidate Herbert Bautista said he had high respect for her and her family.

During the campaign rally of the BBM-Sara UniTeam in Tarlac City, the crowd screamed the name of Bautista’s former girlfriend, actress Kris Aquino, when he appeared on stage.

Bautista, who is part of the team’s senatorial slate, mentioned that he had found the woman he would marry in Tarlac. However, their relationship didn’t work out.

Tarlac province is the hometown of the Aquino clan.

“Actually natagpuan ko na ’yung babaeng pakakasalan ko sa Tarlac, kaya lang tinatakan niya ako ng ‘ex,’ pero di ko alam kung ako ’yun, baka ibang tao naman po ’yun ’di ba?” Bautista said.

Earlier, Aquino warned voters against voting for an ex-boyfriend who happened to be on the UniTeam slate led by presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

At a campaign rally for presidential bet Leni Robredo in Tarlac, Aquino adverted to the ex, whom she said was not up to fulfilling his promises.

Bautista, meanwhile, stressed that his love, as a friend, for his ex-girlfriend would never be gone.

He also told her to feel better and eat well. Aquino had disclosed that she was battling an autoimmune disease.

“Basta, ito na lang po ang sasabihin ko, ang sinabi nga po ni BBM at saka ni Inday Sara na kapag ikaw ay binato ng bato, batuhin mo ng burger,” he said.

“Pero seriously, ito na lang ang aking message sa kanya. Malaki ang respeto ko sa pamilya mo at saka sa’yo. At ang aking pagmamahal sayo, bilang kaibigan, ay hindi na mawawala. So pagaling ka, kain ka marami,” Bautista said. – RC, GMA News
