'Love You Stranger' tops ratings in pilot week, earns praises from viewers

"Love You Stranger" is off to a great start in its pilot week!

The GMA Public Affairs creation bested its competitor "The Broken Marriage Vow" from Monday through Thursday, according to Nielsen Philippines NUTAM People Overnight Ratings.

"Love You Stranger" debuted with a 6.5 rating on June 5, topping the competitor which earned a rating of 6.1. It maintained its lead in the next three days and increased its rating to 6.6 on June 9, while the competitor earned 5.6.

Viewers praised the mystery-romance-horror series

The show stars real-life Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos, as well as Gil Cuerva, Andrea del Rosario, Lexi Gonzales, Kim De Leon, Carmi Martin, Tonton Gutierrez, and more.

The story follows LJ (Gabbi), a production designer for film, and Ben (Khalil), a director. They shoot a film in Sta. Castela, an old town believed to be haunted by a shadow creature called Lilom.

"Love You Stranger" airs Mondays to Thursdays at 9:35 p.m. after "Bolera."
