Rabiya Mateo doesn’t mind being called ‘ambisyosa’: ‘It would drive me to do better in life’

Rabiya Mateo is ambitious and proud of it.

As reported by Cata Tibayan on “24 Oras” Thursday, the beauty queen turned actress-host had several goals that she had been working on.

“If there’s one word to describe me na never ako maiinsulto, iyon iyong pagiging ambisyosa,” said the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 titleholder. “It would drive me to do better and better in life.”

Rabiya has an upcoming show with Kuya Kim and Pokwang titled “Tiktoclock,” where she will show off her funny side.

“Dapat pala for you to be an efficient and good host, you need to learn the art of listening. Kasi hindi lang siya about bato lang ng bato ng punchline, kailangan you have to feel the moment,” she said.

“Just loosen up kasi I used to be so stiff, kasi nga beauty queen eh bawal magkamali. Even behind the camera naman feeling ko nakakatawa naman talaga ko as a person so dito ko siya napapakita.”

Apart from being busy with her showbiz career, Rabiya recently launched her first beauty business venture. She also wants to pursue a doctorate degree in physical therapy.

“Iba ’pag may diploma ka eh. Parang secured ka na sa buhay mo kahit saan ka man isalang,” she said. – RC, GMA News
