Khalil Ramos says balance is key when doing heavy scenes on ‘Love You Stranger’

“Love You Stranger” is not Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia’s first project together, but it is completely different from their romantic-drama film “LSS.”

Understanding each other’s working styles, the real-life couple said they no longer had to adjust with each other on the romance-mystery series.

However, they did learn a lot, such as the importance of giving each other space to work on their characters given the show’s dark nature.

“I think [our working styles were] pretty similar naman. Of course, ito required us to really give us as actors some space to prepare kasi mabigat talaga iyong mga eksena,” Khalil told GMA News Online in a press conference.

“Si Gab as an actor, parang she actually really needs the space to internalize, parang ’di mo siya pwedeng istorbohin. Ako actually medyo similar din to that,” he said.

“I think now iyong major difference is when we actually saw and learned how to treat really, really heavy scenes when we're working together.”

And because the series was done through lock-in tapings, Khalil said that it was also important to be there for his fellow cast members.

“Hindi lang naman syempre sa real-life partner mo, but to all your co-actors, is to really be available as a co-actor whenever your [they need] you,” he said.

“We really had to balance everything really, really well para di kami agad magka-meltdown. So thankfully we were able to do it well.”

“Love You Stranger,” started its finale week on Aug. 8. It airs on GMA Telebabad after “Bolera.” – RC, GMA News
