Dingdong Dantes grows into 'Family Feud' hosting gig, says the show's guests make him better

Dingdong Dantes has been hosting popular game show "Family Feud" for almost a year now.

In an exclusive interview with Jessica Soho on Monday, the Kapuso Primetime King talked about his role as game master, a position held by Steve Harvey in the American franchise of the show.

"Kakaibang experience po. Never ko naisip na at this stage in my career mabibigyan po ako ng pagkakataon to become a game show host," Dingdong said.

"But I guess siguro dahil open po ako sa kahit anong posibilidad, especially pagdating sa entertainment," he added.

Previously, he just hosted the show to sub for Richard Gomez for a while.

"You've grown into TV hosting. Tsaka benta 'yung mga ano mo, 'yung mga hirit mo ha," Jessica complimented the actor.

Dingdong thanked her and said, "Sabi ko nga ho nu'ng umpisa, ah, I'm sure ang dami naman ho talaga mas capable pero nagpapasalamat ako na napagkatiwala sa akin."

"I think it's also because of 'yung the people I meet every day. Imagine I meet eight people every episode," he added.

Dingdong said he fully appreciates his role now and said it's a therapeutic experience for him due to the good vibes.

"As a host, kailangan mula umpisa hanggang dulo, it's either makikisakay ka sa energy ng ano, ng guests, or ikaw magbibigay ng energy sa kanila," he said.

The KMJS team joined "Family Feud" as guests on Monday. They competed against the family of Filipino legendary bowling champion, Paeng Nepomuceno.
