Sanya Lopez looks back on life before showbiz: ‘Mahirap pala yung buhay namin, akala namin normal lang’

Sanya Lopez looked back on her life before entering showbiz.

On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Sanya admitted she didn’t know there could be a better life than what she was used to when she was younger. 

“Mahirap pala yung buhay namin," the Kapuso actress said.

"Akala namin normal lang ‘yon, yung kumakain lang kayo ng talbos ng kamote, nakuha lang diyan sa labas ta’s masaya na kami kasi may bagoong ‘yon.” 

“Nung napasok namin yung ganito, meron pa palang ganitong buhay kasi masaya na kami noon eh,” she added. “Yung bahay niyo, kahit hindi gano’n kaganda, importante ay magkakasama kayo.”

Asked about her favorite food, Sanya said it’s tuyo as that’s what they always had in the past.

Having lost her dad at only the age of one, Sanya said it was her, her brother Jak Roberto, and her mom who all worked together to make their lives better.

Sanya rose to fame after starring in “Encantadia,” “First Yaya,” and “First Lady.” She will be starring in “Mga Lihim ni Urduja” with Gabbi Garcia and Kylie Padilla soon. — LA, GMA Integrated News
