By GMA Integrated News

Camille Prats just revealed that she got inspired to enter the showbiz industry because of Ice Seguerra.

On the "Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel" podcast, Camille opened up on her beginnings as a child star.

"Nung nakita ko si [Ice] Seguerra sa 'Eat Bulaga' at nakita ko na pwede 'yung bata sa TV, sinabi ko sa sarili ko na, 'Gusto ko maging ganun,'" she said.

"So I feel as early as three years old, andoon na talaga naka-set na talaga 'yung mind ko na gusto kong lumabas sa TV."

Ice joined Little Miss Philippines in 1987 when she was four years old. According to Camille, she wanted to do the same.

"I told my mom that I wanna join Little Miss Philippines, and she said no because I was only three. 'Tas medyo hindi pa buo 'yung salita, sabi niya, 'Sige hintayin natin pag mag-four ka, kung gusto mo pa rin then let's see,'" Camille said.

When she turned four, Camille kept pestering her mom about joining the competition.

She also shared that Ice knows that he was Camille's inspiration.

"I worked with her many times when we were younger, and sinabi ko talaga sa kanya na, 'Ikaw ang dahilan kung bakit ako naging artista,'" she said.

Camille said she kept following Ice around and was a huge fan of him.

"Siya talaga 'yung nag-open ng door for me kasi naisip ko talaga, 'Kung kaya niyang mapunta sa TV, kaya ko din,' and that really motivated me to do the things na gusto kong gawin kahit hiyang hiya ako," she said.

Camille went on to discuss how she came to be a back-up dancer for Ice.

"Natapos na ang Little Miss Philippines era, but they have my biodata and 'yung talent ko kasi is sayaw, so siguro nakita nila na marunong ako sumayaw, so naghanap sila from that roster kung sino 'yung mga marurunong sumayaw na sumali dito sa Little Miss Philippines, tawagin natin sila tapos gawin natin silang back-up dancer ni [Ice], isa ako doon," she said.

Camille added that she's open to being on stage with Ice again.

"Oo nga kung papayag siya," she said.

Ice, previously known as Aiza Seguerra, came out as lesbian in 2007 and now identifies as a transgender man.
