Imelda Schweighart reveals miscarriage during MGI All Stars competition

Imelda Schweighart revealed she went through a miscarriage while competing in the recently concluded Miss Grand International (MGI) All Stars pageant.

On Facebook, the Fililipina beauty queen opened up about the loss in an appreciation post for her partner, Rafael Thibault, thanking him for standing by her throughout her pageant journey and recovery.

First saying how they support each other's passion — his surfing, her pageantry — Imelda went on to express her gratitude for her partner's support over the years, from their simpler days together to building a life as a family.

“I'm proud to say always, you pick up Noah from school and take him home. Even though I'm recovering from something big right now, i know we’ll get this through. Losing our baby might have been the worse out of joining this competition but in God’s timing we will have one again,” she said.

The revelation came as a surprise to many followers, as Imelda had not publicly disclosed her pregnancy during the competition.

In her Facebook Stories, Imelda shared posts from supporters who expressed sympathy and admiration for her strength.

“That’s why for me she didn’t perform her best during the MGI all Stars Prelims. Imelda Schweighart just lost her baby during the competition. I’m sorry to hear about this. You are a strong woman. I salute you,” one post stated.

Another read, “Behind the glamour of the stage was a grieving mother during the cruelest bashing from the world. Knowing she suffered a miscarriage just a day before the prelims is completely heartbreaking.”

She also posted a photo of her arm with an IV line attached, presumably from the hospital and shared an update, saying she's "fine. The [worst] part is over."
