Kapuso programs, campaign win in New York Festivals' World's Best TV and Films


 
Six programs and a campaign of GMA Network Inc. bagged medals in the recently held 2014 New York Festivals’ International Television and Films Awards competition.

Tunay na Buhay’s “Mga Sanggol at Langaw” won the coveted Gold World Medal award – the only one among nine winners from the Philippines – for the TV-Documentary/Information program category.

Tunay na Buhay is hosted by broadcast journalist Rhea Santos.

According to the New York Festivals website, GMA Network obtained one gold, three silver, and three bronze world medals.

The Silver World Medal winners were Tropang Potchi, Brigada’s “Gintong Krudo at Sipa ng Pag-asa”, and Reel Time’s “Silang Wala sa Mapa.”

Front Row’s “Lusong Dunong”, GMA News and Public Affairs’ Dapat Tama music video, and Quick Response Team’s “Zamboanga Crisis Coverage” bagged the Bronze World Medals.

GMA News TV’s Diploma station promo, News and Public Affairs’ Camera Juan, I-Witness’ “Ganito Tayo Noong Martial Law”, and Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’s “Photographs of Typhoon Pablo” were finalists in the international competition.
