Ethel Booba figures in another bar altercation

Comedienne Ethel Booba got entangled in a thorny situation anew after she figured in an altercation at a bar in Quezon City before dawn Monday. The police is now looking into the complaint filed by Booba, or Ethel Gabison in real life, against two women who heckled her after seeing her with a male companion at the Decades Bar. "She was going home from Decades Bar with a new male friend named John. Two girls were yakking, 'bagong lalake na naman' (she has a new man again)," Booba's companion, identified only as Polo, told dzBB radio. Polo said that when Booba asked them if they were referring to her, the two girls just laughed. Polo said Booba was with her mother and a sibling in the bar when the incident occurred. Radio station dzBB identified one of the women as 20-year-old Rhea May Labra. Booba is set to file unjust vexation charges against her over the incident, the report added. Polo said the commotion prompted the bar's bouncers to escort Booba and her party out of the bar, but not the two female hecklers. "Why were the two hecklers not sent out as well? Is the bar management protecting them?" he asked in Filipino. Polo said Booba and her party waited for the hecklers to get out of the bar, then confronted them again. During the confrontation, one of the women hit Booba with her shoe. The shoe hit Booba in the face, reportedly busting her lip. This information could not be immediately confirmed as of posting time. The women then rode a World Taxi cab, and Booba and her companions hailed another cab in pursuit until the women's taxi stopped at Roces Avenue. When Booba alighted from the cab to confront them, the women had the taxi driver get down, then drove off with the cab. The taxi driver sought assistance, and other cab drivers in the area cut off the women. Polo said the women drove back to the Decades Bar where they were holed up. Polo said Booba and her companions are eyeing charges against the women, along with management of the Decades Bar, for protecting them. - GMANews.TV
