GMA unveils reality-comedy TV show
For some time now, viewers have been hooked on reality TV shows. As participants are required to accomplish certain tasks and deal with various situations, their true selves are revealed on camera. In response to this shift in viewersâ preferences, the Kapuso Network has come up with its own reality TV program that is sure to capture everyoneâs attention. Kung Ako Ikaw is the first-ever reality-comedy show, which is set to win viewersâ hearts with its novelty, uniqueness and guaranteed 100% fun. Hosted by two of GMA 7âs primed comedians, Joey Marquez and Keempee de Leon in their respective signature characters, Tsong and Harold, the show boasts of a great tandem and concept that will definitely relieve everyone off their stresses on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The Concept At first look, Kung Ako Ikaw may seem like a combination of other reality-based shows, particularly Extra Challenge , and QTV 11âs May Trabaho Ka or Day-Off . But what really sets the show apart from all others is its concept of a bisor. The bisor is an ordinary worker who becomes the boss and judges the performances of the manggagawa, three celebrities tasked to do menial jobs and become ordinary people struggling hard to earn a living. âWe want to try something different this time," Program Manager Redgie Magno explains during a press conference. âThis is not just reality, may fun element ito. This is not a challenge. This is a display of your skills. Very exciting siya at siguradong ma-e-entertain kayo." Making the show more exciting is a live Wednesday episode, where winners and special awardees will be acknowledged. The Fun and the Truth People can expect comedic scenes to take place any time of the show by simply checking out the hosts -- a masculine Tsong matched with the high-class gay guy Harold, dealing with the celebrity participants. (Doon) papasok 'yung pagpapatawa." Direk Dom supplies, âAng kinukuha talaga namin kapag may hanap-buhay na i-a-assign, ('yung) medyo mahirap ma-imagine. Para exciting. (Kahit socialites pwede), kung willing ba naman sila and able." But more than a comedy show, Kung Ako Ikaw also gives everyone a picture of the reality we live in: that jobs which seem to be too odd to be true exist. He also says that through this show, people doing menial jobs can find pride in the work they do. Kung Ako Ikaw starts on July 16 on the KiliTV block. Donât miss the fun real life comedy can bring! - iGMA.tv
