Rocco Nacino: ‘I’m happy where I am’

Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino's role in GMA's remake of the hit Korean drama "Descendants of the Sun" was a part he always wanted to play. Being a registered nurse, he also draws a great deal of fulfillment in educating the public about health and wellness as being the host of GMA's The Healthy Juan.

The actor shed some unexpected tears on Thursday after signing his renewal contract with GMA Network, recalling that his journey was not one without trials and failures.

He also couldn't contain his excitement for audiences to enjoy the local production of "Descendants of the Sun," where he will be playing Sergeant Diego Ramos alongside Dingdong Dantes and Jasmine Curtis.

"Even through it meant waiting longer, it was worth it dahil I'm very, very happy kung nasaan po ako ngayon," he said.

"I just cannot wait.

With more projects still to come, Rocco looks back at the time he passed off earlier opportunities to get into show business because he was determined to finish his studies.
