After three days in theaters, the films, directors, and actors of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025 were celebrated at the Gabi ng Parangal, held at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City on Saturday.

The Best Picture award went to I’mPerfect, which tells the story of Jessica and Jiro, two individuals with Down syndrome who fall in love and navigate life and memories together.

The Second Best Picture was awarded to Unmarry, a film depicting the “full-on relationship turbulence” between two married couples—one going through annulment and child custody, while the other struggles to keep their marriage afloat.

The Third Best Picture honor was shared by two films: Call Me Mother and Manila’s Finest.

Call Me Mother follows an adoptive mother striving to reclaim her family after her adoptive son’s biological mother returns and forms a connection with him.

Manila’s Finest, on the other hand, tells the story of a cop investigating a string of brutal killings of the urban poor in Manila during the 1960s.

The Best Actress award was given to Krystel Go (I’mPerfect), while the Best Actor award went to Vice Ganda (Call Me Mother).

Other major acting awards included Best Supporting Actress for Odette Khan (Bar Boys: After School) and Best Supporting Actor for Tom Rodriguez (Unmarry). The Best Child Performer award went to Lucas Andalio for Call Me Mother.
