'The World of the Married' star Kim Hee Ae explains why she's keeping distance from Han So Hee

Veteran Korean actress Kim Hee Ae who plays Ji Sun Woo the wife in the hit K-drama "The World of the Married" explained why she's keeping distance from co-star Han So Hee who plays Yeo Da Kyung, the mistress.

A report on Soompi noted how Kim Hee Ae had nothing but praises for Han So Hee during an online press conference of Korean network JTBC.

“Han So Hee is the one in charge of beauty in our drama,” Kim Hee Ae reportedly said. “She possesses a truly heavenly beauty, and I think that even those words alone aren’t enough to express it.” 

"She’s already this perfect, I wonder what kind of actress she’ll be in the future, when she reaches my age. I can’t even imagine it. She works so hard, and in terms of her face and body, I think she’s flawless. She leaves nothing to be desired," Kim Hee Ae added.

But despite these, the veteran actress said she prefers to keep her distance not just from Han So Hee but also from Park Hae Joon, who plays as her husband Lee Tae Oh.

"I don’t want to lose the emotion [of my character],” she explained.

The 54-year-old Korean actress said she's doing this to fully immerse herself in her character's emotions.

“So Hee is so polite and pretty, and I like her, but I’m trying to keep my distance. So that I can properly immerse myself in my character’s emotions," she said.

Meanwhile, Han So Hee considers her co-star Kim Hee Ae as her role model which she had mentioned in an interview with Grazia magazine, Soompi reports.

In case you're out of the K-drama loop, "The World of the Married" follows the story of a married couple Ji Sun Woo (Kim Hee Ae), a doctor and Lee Tae Oh (Park Hae Joon), a film director whose marriage seemed all perfect at first, until the wife later found out that her husband has been having an affair with Yeo Da Kyung (Han So Hee).

According to Soompi's latest report, the K-drama's production crew said that starting from the ninth episode which aired on April 24 up until the 16th episode the drama will be rated 19+. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
