Blackpink members to release solo tracks after group's album launch in September

Blackpink's members are set to release solo tracks after the South Korean girl group launches a new album in September.

According to a report on Soompi, YG Entertainment released a statement on Monday to update fans on the individual plans of the stars.

"YG has released Jennie’s first-ever solo single 'SOLO' back in November 2018, and has been working on Rosé's first-ever solo track for over a year," the agency said.

YG said they are taking more time than expected since they are "planning to release multiple songs in an album format, rather than releasing a digital single."

The agency said Rosé's solo works are already completed, while Lisa's and Jisoo's singles are being prepared for release.

In another Soompi report, YG earlier announced that Blackpink will be making a three-step comeback starting in June and culminating in the release of their first full-length album in September.
