Margot Robbie eyed to lead in stand-alone 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film -reports

Margot Robbie is reportedly in "early talks" to star in a new "Pirates of the Caribbean" film.

 

 

 

According to Deadline, the "female-driven" film will be a stand-alone, and not a sequel or spin-off of the franchise. EW reported that the project is in the early stages of development.

Robbie's "Birds of Prey" screenwriter Christina Hodson meanwhile has reportedly been tapped to write the new "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie.

Aside from her role as Harley Quinn in "Birds of Prey" and "Suicide Squad," Robbie is also known for her work in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" and the live action remake of "The Legend of Tarzan."
