Megan Thee Stallion says she was shot multiple times and had to undergo surgery

Megan Thee Stallion belied reports claiming she was arrested by police, and said she was shot multiple times over the weekend.

It was earlier reported that the American rapper and singer was in Canadian rapper Tory Lanez’s car when he was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

On Instagram, Megan shared her side of the story to correct the rumors.

She said she had never been taken into custody by the police, but that she was a victim of a crime.

"On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me," Megan wrote.

"I was never arrested. the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets,” she continued.

The singer said she's expected to make a full recovery.

Tory Lanez’ arrest came last Sunday morning, following reports that multiple gunshots were heard outside an LA party where both Megan and Tory were seen partying with the likes of Kylie Jenner.

Tory was also seen with Megan and Kylie in a pool, live on Instagram.
