Blackpink to receive Variety’s ‘Group of the Year’ award

The groundbreaking South Korean girl group reaches yet another milestone!

In an announcement on Friday, Variety shared that it will be giving its “Group of the Year” award to Blackpink during its special program “Hitmakers” on Dec. 2.

According to Soompi’s report, this will be the very first time for the group to receive the award from the American magazine.

Aside from Blackpink, Harry Styles will also be receiving the award for “Hitmaker of the Year,” Lewis Capaldi for “Songwriter of the Year,” J Balvin for “Collaborator of the Year,” and Roddy Ricch for “Breakthrough Artist of the Year.”

The program is set to have a simultaneous telecast on Variety’s social media pages.
