1D's Louis Tomlinson shares plans to launch management company

Louis Tomlinson is planning on launching his own management company to make way for new music and artists.

The One Direction singer made the announcement on Twitter on Saturday, saying “I've decided to put it out there in the world today. I'm going to start my own music management company to help develop new artists. Watch this space."

According to him, he wants to serve as a bridge for the industry and aspiring artists while accommodating various genres of music that doesn’t fit traditional standards.

“I always dreamed of having my own [management company], having an imprint never really worked for me because I still had to have someone else's blessing to sign people,” he said.

“People I believed in massively but unfortunately didn't fit the traditional pop role hence never doing the deals,” he added.

Although he’s just in the planning stage, Louis already wanted to share the news to the world.

“I just wanted to take the first step of actualising the idea but at this stage that's all this is. An idea!” he said.

Louis has been continuing his career individually and is known for hits including “Back To You.” He launched his debut album “Walls” in January last year. — Franchesca Viernes/LA, GMA News
