Hugh Jackman gets vaccinated: 'Wolverine's healing ability can't save me from COVID'

He may be a crazy strong hero on screen, but not even Hugh Jackman is immune to COVID-19.

On Twitter, the "X-Men" star announced that he received the vaccine against the infectious disease that has been ravaging nations around the world for over a year.

"Wolverine’s healing ability can't save me from COVID. But the vaccine can," he said. "Get it!"

The photo shows the 52-year-old Australian actor wearing a mask while getting jabbed by a medical professional.

In the Philippines, the use of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine on individuals younger than 60 has been temporarily suspended following reports of rare blood clots with low platelet counts in some recipients overseas.

The FDA said China's Sinovac vaccine, the only other vaccine currently available in the country, showed at least 51% efficacy among the elderly.

The Philippines has vaccinated more than 922,000 people as of April 6, according to the DOH. —JCB, GMA News
