Super Junior’s Shindong tests positive for COVID-19

Super Junior member Shindong has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a Soompi report.

In a statement released on Friday, Super Junior's agency Label SJ said Shindong's COVID-19 test came back positive on Thursday.

"He is currently in self-quarantine," said the agency.

According to Label SJ, Shindong underwent PCR testing on Wednesday after he learned that he had come into close contact with someone who was later diagnosed with the virus.

The agency also said that because the rapper did not come into contact with any of his bandmates, they had no plans to get tested.

Apart from Shindong, other K-pop group members who tested positive for COVID-19 in recent months included SF9's Dawon and Hwiyoung. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
