TWICE leader Jihyo tests positive for COVID-19 ahead of comeback

Jihyo, leader of K-Pop girl group TWICE, tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday ahead of their comeback.

According to a statement by JYP Entertainment, Jihyo was confirmed positive on a self-diagnosis kit and antigen test.

She “is currently quarantined following the guidelines from health department,” it added.

“We apologize for causing concern among TWICE fans and related people.”

JYP said it would prioritize Jihyo’s health and “put our best effort for her quick and healthy recovery.”

Composed of Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, TWICE is set to release their 11th mini album “BETWEEN 1&2” on Aug. 26.
