Jason Momoa shaves hair off to raise awareness on single-use plastics problem

Jason Momoa has got a new look, and it’s for a great cause too.

The “Aquaman” star shaved off his signature long locks to raise awareness on single-use plastics.

The actor posted an Instagram Reel while getting his haircut, appealing for people to opt for reusable bags, water bottles, utensils, and packaging, among others.

“Shavin’ off the hair,” he said in the video. “Doing it for single-use plastics.”

Jason added, “I’m tired of these plastic bottles — we gotta stop. Plastic forks, all that sh*t. It just goes into our land, goes into our ocean. I’m just seeing some things in our ocean, it’s just so sad. So please, anything you can do to eliminate single-use plastics in your lives, help me. Plastic bottles are ridiculous.”

Jason’s post is filled with comments from his fellow actors and fans who are loving the new look and the statement behind it.

The haircut was done in partnership with Mananalu Water, a bottled water company that makes aluminum bottles that are infinitely recyclable, according to their Instagram page. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
