Jimin, J-Hope, TWICE, and more donate to Turkey, Syria after earthquake

A number of Korean celebrities extended help to Turkey and Syria after the magnitude 7.8 earthquake.

According to a Soompi report, among these are BTS members J-Hope and Jimin, as well as actor Ji Chang Wook, who all gave 100 million Korean won or $77,800 to the Korean Committee for UNICEF.

There's also ITZY's Ryujin who donated 50 million won to non-government organization The Promise. Joining her from JYP Entertainment is TWICE with 200 million won to Save the Children.

NCT's Haechan and Mark, meanwhile, donated 100 million won and 150 million won, respectively.

Even agencies took the time to share resources to extend help. These include SM Entertainment and HYBE with a total of 700 million won.

The Soompi report said among those who also made donations previously were Suzy, NCT's Doyoung, GOT7's Jay B and Jinyoung, Seventeen's S. Coups, Shin Min Ah, and Park Bo Young.

The magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit Turkey and Syria last February 6, leaving a death toll of 35,224 as of last Monday.
