The Chicago Bulls used to boast of one of the deepest benches in the league, but this off-season, players departing has become the trend for the Windy City's franchise. The Bulls dealt forward Kyle Korver to the Atlanta Hawks, in exchange for cash and a $5 million trade exception, ESPN Chicago reported. The move comes on the heels of the team declining to renew the contracts of back-up point guard CJ Watson, who signed with the Brooklyn Nets, and shooting guard Ronnie Brewer. Korver shot 43.5 percent from downtown last season, up from his career average of 41.3 percent. He also normed 8.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists. Watson on the other hand, signed for the veteran's minimum with the Nets after getting 25 starts at the point guard position last year due to injuries to last season's MVP Derrick Rose. The undrafted Watson normed 9.7 points, 1.0 rebounds, and a career-best 4.1 assists in the regular season. The team could next lose reserve center Omer Asik, as the Houston Rockets plan to offer the center a backloaded contract, once the New York Knicks decide whether or not to match Houston's offer to point guard Jeremy Lin. Chicago did tab University of Kentucky product Marquis Teague with the 29th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, and the rookie is expected to get ample playing time as Derrick Rose continues to rehab from his left ACL tear. - AMD, GMA News
