Cabagnot, Sangalang, Thompson to debut for nat’l team in PHL vs. Iran
San Miguel’s Alex Cabagnot, Magnolia’s Ian Sangalang, and Barangay Ginebra’s Scottie Thompson will don the national colors for the first time as members of Gilas Pilipinas Thursday in their face-off against Iran in the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas announced the Final 12 line up, Wednesday morning.

Sangalang made it to the list two years after missing his chance due to an injury. SMB’s Marcio Lassiter will also return to duty, seven years after his last stint as a Gilas player.

Greg Slaughter, who was cleared by FIBA last week to play as a local, was not included in the list due to an injury.
