Thirdy Ravena says business ain't over yet for the Blue Eagles

Despite winning the first game of the series against University of Santo Tomas, Ateneo de Manila's Thirdy Ravena said it's not yet over for the Blue Eagles.

"Business is not [yet] done. We can’t celebrate. We can’t feel happy about this although we did a lot of things really well. May mga ginawa naman kaming bagay na di rin kaaya-aya, so we have to learn from that," Ravena said during the post-game conference.

For Ravena, the mentality of the Eagles is that the more important game is their next one. "Importante sa 'min na the next game, kailangan talaga naming mag-prepare. 'Di ibibigay sa 'min ng UST 'yun so kailangan gawin namin ang trabaho namin," Ravena said in a separate interview.

The two-time UAAP Finals MVP scored a season-high 32-points to lead the Eagles to victory.

"I guess one of the reasons is the fact that It’s my last year. I don’t wanna say at the end of the season na hindi ko binigay lahat. So I’m just laying it all on the line for my team and for the community," he said.

"Ayoko naman umalis na may feeling ako na kaya ko pa magbigay. So for me it’s just about doing whatever it takes to make your teammates better, to help the team win. And to make sure na yung community natin is masaya," he added. — DVM, GMA News
