Warriors guard Stephen Curry misses Saturday game due to influenza; COVID-19 ruled out

Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry missed Saturday night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers due to illness.

Curry had influenza A, according to Warriors team physician Dr. Robert Nied.

"This morning Stephen Curry was diagnosed with influenza A by a positive viral testing. We have identified his probable source contact who is not part of basketball operations. He has no specific risk factors for COVID-19. He has the seasonal flu. We have begun treatment for Stephen and instituted our team protocol for influenza exposure," Nied said in a statement.

Also, power forward Draymond Green missed his fifth straight game due to a knee injury.
