Vico Sotto reveals his favorite PBA team

Like many other Filipinos, Pasig City mayor Vico Sotto is a basketball fan.

In the inaugural episode of "Quarantined with Howie Severino," the local executive said the sport is his favorite hobby and he even played when he was still in school.

Asked about his favorite basketball team, he said doesn't have one in the NBA. In the PBA, however, it turns out that he is actually part of a huge fanbase!

"Well, Barangay Ginebra sa PBA. Ka-Barangay tayo," he revealed.

His half-brother, former Blue Eagle LA Mumar, said Sotto was a very good basketball player in high school.

The man himself, however, played it down and said he improved a little in college but not enough to be on the varsity team.

"Masyadong magaling 'yong mga taga-Ateneo," he said. "But I played a lot of pick up balls. I wouldn't say I'm good. Hindi naman ako nag-UAAP or anything else on that level."

Sotto said he hasn't been able to follow basketball lately, but he watched the recently concluded "The Last Dance" documentary series featuring Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. —MGP, GMA News
